This position is responsible for assisting in the processing of purchase requests from inception through delivery of chemicals, materials, equipment, goods, supplies, etc. Assists in all aspects of the purchasing, delivery, and inventory functions to ensure that the organization’s goals are met. Participates in the planning and execution of management and procurement functions and strategies to ensure continuous supply of necessary materials and equipment to meet company goals. The key success factor in this role is to provide the greatest value to the operation while gaining workflow and financial efficiencies.


  • Initiates purchase orders based on business requirements and inventory levels.
  • Develops and administers purchasing and contract database.
  • Monitors vendor pricing and availability.
  • Resolves issues related to inventory returns, replacements and credit arrangements.
  • Interacts with vendors to drive down company-wide expenses while maintaining product and service integrity.
  • Successfully drives ordering and delivery workflow to ensure uninterrupted operation of jobs as well as maintaining and continuous improvement of vendor relationships.
  • Aligns supply chain and materials management efforts with company strategies and ensures that material planning is being performed as needed.
  • Maintains inventory of assets through processing daily/weekly inventory tickets of parts and chemicals as well as actively managing reordering.
  • Manages internal/external communication pertaining to critical component shortages and provides real-time logistical updates to involved parties.
  • Manages receipts, bill of ladings and proof of delivery slips to account for received orders
  • Development of metrics associated with purchasing, inventory and supply planning activities.
  • Maintains familiarity and ensures compliance with company policy and procedures.
  • Initiates corrective action with vendors regarding defective or unacceptable goods or services to determine the source of trouble and correct the issue.
  • Works cross functionally with all regions to ensure that business goals are met.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities

 High School Diploma

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in full cycle purchasing
  • Advanced computer experience in MS Excel
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain high project demands



  • Knowledge of chemicals, pumps, valves, and fittings.
  • Higher education in a business related field



  • Steel-toed safety shoes (Employee must provide)

  • FRC (fire retardant clothing) attire (Provided by employer)
  • H2S Monitor & Proper Dionix Equipment (Provided by employer)
