  • Overview



    The Regional Operations Manager will be responsible for management of a region and assuring operations are maintained in the safest, most efficient and cost effective manner. This position is responsible for achieving optimum personnel performance and maximum efficiency at the disposals and/or water treatment units in a region.



    • Ensure standards for operations, equipment, and operator performance are maintained
    • Ensure cost-effective technology is used to maximize production
    • Ensure fixed assets are preserved
    • Initiate recommendations on purchases of new equipment and improvements to facilities and/or units
    • Provide weekly highpoints with operational update and regional fracking schedules, etc.
    • Manage supervisors and direct reports to ensure efficient and effective operations
    • Develop, monitor, and report operating costs within functional areas
    • Alert management of cost and labor over run, and then make recommendations/implement solutions.
    • Hire, train, develop, and appraise staff effectively
    • Take corrective action as necessary in a timely manner and in accordance with company policy (Consult with Human Resources as appropriate)
    • Ensure disposals and/or units meet specifications and standards
    • Escalate issues to Executive Director of Operations including issues related to safety, security, employee relations, scheduling, training, conflicts, etc.
    • Ensure supervisors adhere to company policy and administering practices in an equitable manner
    • Effectively manage budget and control expenses
    • Keep up-to-date on information and technology affecting functional area(s) to increase innovation and ensure compliance
    • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
    • Comply with general policies and procedures of Bosque Disposal Systems, LLC and keep safety and environment as the most important aspects of daily operation


    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES – Education / Knowledge / Skills and Abilities

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business or similar field and 5-7 years in multi-site supervisory roles in the oil and gas industry OR equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Knowledge of operating water treatment units and/or salt water disposal operations
    • Experience managing multiple fleets/units in broad region
    • Intermediate computer experience in MS Excel and Outlook
    • Excellent communications skills and ability to maintain highest professionalism
    • Ability to coach others
    • Ability to travel to and navigate frac locations (25% - 50% travel)


    • Prior experience in Oil & Gas, Water Treatment or Chemical Industry
    • Prior experience in Completions or Fracking


    • Field/site environment with visits to field locations
    • Office environment with desk 
    • PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required and must be worn when on yards & jobsite locations:
      • Safety Glasses, Hard hats, FR Clothing and other as required by customer.
    • Light to moderate physical effort required
    • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Regularly required to walk, reach and move about the facility
    • Able to drive a vehicle for extended periods of time
    • Able to work around hazardous chemicals and in Oil & Gas Operational conditions
    • Ability to be present at field office during denoted work hours, which may be altered occasionally to accommodate delivery of programs
    • Ability to read, communicate verbally and/or in written form, remember and analyze certain information, instructions and guidelines
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
